What to do, what to dooo....

I've been thinking about this blogging thing, and I want to keep it up...

Something that excites me is reading, so I was inspired by this blog to post what I am reading.

At the moment, I am reading:

Romans (I'm on chapter 9! yippeee!)
The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians book 3)

I'm hoping to finish these books and let you know what I think about them. Maybe it will be helpful, and maybe it won't, but at least it will keep me reading the good stuff.

My housewifery skills are coming along, slowly but surely. I mopped the floor today and pretended to be an Olympic curler, so that was fun! "HHHHAAAARRRRDDD!!!!" Today is laundry and anythingIcandowhilethebabyissleeping cleaning day! Yippee!! So, load one is in the dryer, load two is on its way to the washer, and the floor is mopped. Next? Probably lunch. Then, I'll try to clear off my bed from the weekend...

Speaking of, we went to the Sola Gratia conference at Countryside Bible Church in Southlake, Tx. I enjoyed it immensely. We got to hear Richard Phillips, Dr. Russell Moore, and Dr. John Hannah. Dr. Hannah is actually the reason Hubby likes John Owen so much, and that is the reason O got his name!! :) Dr. Hannah's last talk was my favorite. It was how we practially root out sin!!!

Oh no, Little Man is upset... Guess I should have used the blogging time to eat lunch.

Helllooooooo again! I've come to accept the fact that I am a terrrrrrrrrrible blogger. But on the upside, I am becoming a better listener! I've had two recent opportunities to be the listener in a social situation, and I FINALLY found my self really listening and processing what the other person says, and not just thinking of the next thing I am going to say. I'm praying to be a "agent of sharpening" in the lives of the women I'm close to, just as these women are CONSTANTLY sharpening me. And that is a very, very good thing.

On the baby front, we're doing better and better. He's starting to eat real food and he enjoys most of it. He is NOT a fan of peas, and squash is not a fan of him. It seems the "carb-y" foods make his reflux FLAIR up.

I'm learning about being a mom and house wife... Loving my husband, keeping house, raising Owen as the Lord would have me.

Well, this has been waaaaaaaaaay too long!
Lots of things have happened in our sweet little life since I last blogged. I believe I was writing about our trip to Seattle when last I wrote. To let you in on a little secret, I didn't feel so good during our trip... I felt seasick most of the time... And the feeling didn't go away when I got home.

So, I went to the doctor and I was PREGNANT!

Needless to say life has changed. Our little man got here at the end of August and I "retired" from teaching. We think he's great. We'll keep him.

Christmas was fun with the little man around. My parents bought him waaaay too much stuff and we're going to visit Timothy's parents soon.

It's neat being parents. I love watching Timothy be a dad... It makes me love him even more!

When the summer's gone...

I start working on my classroom...

This summer has been great. Our trip to the UK was awesome. I should blog all about it, but it was 14 days. I'd love to tell you about it. I'll even buy the coffee and show you pictures. :)

We've been back for over a week and I think I'm finally getting caught up on life. I've spent most of the time in my classroom getting stuff together for the new school year. Beth, Ashley, and I have been working together and it's so nice to have the Three Musketeers back together again.

I've been really enjoying catching up with church, even though I only missed 2 weeks, I felt like I was gone forever!

I've really been quite boring since I got back. I'm really only blogging because Kristi was teasing me. :) This one's for you, Kristi!!

Let the Summer Begin!

... With sitting in a hospital surgery waiting room. Fun. My dad has to have his femoral (thigh?) arteries "rotorooted" as he says. He did fine. He's in ICU at least overnight.

He's already complaining about things, so I'm sure that means he'll be fine. :)

On a brighter note, school has ended and summer has begun! No more students (or parents) for 2 whole months! I don't mean to complain. I do love my job. It's just that I also love the SUMMER! Pretending to be a house wife, reading books, organizing for next year, vacations, sleeping later, having lunch with the girls at actual restaurants (as opposed to the teacher's lounge) are all very pleasing summer activities to me.

I got to spend some time with Laura and her two sweet kiddos the other day. M is such a charmer! Littlest Bit slept the whole time, but when I held her, she was facinated by my hair color. She's a girl after my own heart! :) It was really nice to catch up with Laura and shock her husband by being on his couch when he arrived home.

From here on out is summer mode. Wearing my nose ring 24/7, doing crazy things with my hair... Shorts and tshirts and make-up only when I want to and NOT because I feel like I have to! Woo hoo!!

Slightly over a month before we go to the UK! Wooo hooo! I've got to get to the gym and kick my butt some so that I'm only a small mess when we're hiking around the beautiful island. :)

Let me know if you want to hang out... I've got nothin' but time...:)

UGH!

This is the most ridiculous thing I've seen as of late.

Don't scientists have something better to do? Cure for cancer? Alzheimer's? AIDS? Anyone? Anyone?

Back in the LBK

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. We had to hit the ground running again when we were home. I think I'll finish the posts about the Pacific Northwest tonight.

We have 18 days left of school!! Yeee haw!!! :)
